Sayori Date is a Game Mod for Doki Doki Literature Club! and is designed to be played only after the official game has been completed. As such, the mod and this page both contain unmarked spoilers for the official game. Because of the mod's short length, spoilers will also be unmarked on this page.
Sayori Date is a short Doki Doki Literature Club! mod by leodecraprio in which you go out on a date with Sayori, the cute childhood friend. Over the course of the day, you will go to the park and have a movie night at her house.
Then things go wrong as the game starts glitching out...
Examples:
- Brown Note: The Memetic Agent image and sound Sayori blasts the player with at the end of the mod, which will apparently control you into following her every command.
- Disguised Horror Story: Much like the original game, this mod is seemingly just you going out on a cute date with Sayori. It isn't long before the player is assaulted with strange and creepy imagery and Sayori starts acting weird, gradually becoming more hostile.
- The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You: Sayori, still remembering her suicide from the main game, has gained self-awareness and is trying to find a vessel she can exit the game with and personally make the player hers in a revenge plot, and the mod ends with her using a Brown Note to brainwash the player.
- Shout-Out: When asked which movie she wants to watch, Sayori initially requests, of all films, Begotten (an infamously surreal and disturbing arthouse film retelling the Book of Genesis) before quickly changing her mind and requesting Shin Godzilla instead.
