* HeroesWantRedHeads: Triss and Shani, the two contenders for serious love interests in this game, are both redheads. The only major female character that is not redhead is Toruviel (and to, some extent, also Carmen).

** Probably from the same source Dandelion learned about cognitive dissonance, ''BreakingTheFourthWall for Dummies''. Considering that terms like "genetics" and "mutant" get thrown around often, it's pretty clear that the world has plenty of anachronistic aspects to it, probably thanks to magic and alchemy. Why shouldn't there be superhero fiction in a world with real, superpowered Witchers?

** In at least one quest, when Geralt is supposed to talk to an NPC the following day, it suffices to change location (for instance, enter and quit a building). It happens two more times during just that one quest.
** A few such occurrences have the NPC completing the task just by re-initiating conversation with them after they told Geralt to wait.

The game has a rather extensive post-release history. A [[VideoGameRemake remake]] of the first game titled ''The Witcher: Rise Of The White Wolf'' was to be released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2009, featuring a brand new engine and more action-oriented combat system in the vein of [[VideoGame/TheWitcher2AssassinsOfKings the then-upcoming sequel]]. Unfortunately, it was cancelled in 2009 due to disagreements between CD Projekt Red and co-developer Widescreen Games. However, in 2012, a group of modders ''endorsed by CD Projekt Red'' began work on an ambitious mod for the Enhanced Edition, also titled "Rise Of The White Wolf," that introduced new story elements, a seriously overhauled interface, an improved combat system, and updated graphics. The mod was released in 2014 to great acclaim and is now seen by many as the definitive way to play the original. Then on October 26, 2022, Creator/CDProjektRED announced a new attempt to remake the game. Entitled ''The Witcher Remake'', is it to be co-developed by Fool's Theory and built on Unreal Engine 5.
