The Pharaoh's Curse is a duo of Minecraft maps set in Egypt.

In The Pharaoh's Curse the hero is hired by Pharaoh Ises to investigate the tomb of Pharaoh Horobus, which seems to be the cause of a curse slowly devastating Egypt.

In The Pharaoh's Curse 2, the hero, having learned that Horobus is still alive, and preparing to take over the world, sets out to kill him once and for all.

The series contains examples of:

  • Final Boss: Pharaoh Horobus. Although you could easily say that it's a Dual Boss with the Resurrection Machine or that the Machine is the boss and the constantly reincarnating Horobus is/are its flunkies.
  • Gotta Catch 'Em All: Secret chests with collectable gold ingots are scattered over the map.
  • Hell Gate: Horobus uses Nether portals for various purposes.
  • The Legions of Hell: Horobus is creating an army in the afterlife in the second map.
  • Lethal Lava Land: One of the challenges in the second map. The same map also has sections in the Nether.
  • The Maze: The second map has several. One of which is partly underwater.
  • Mooks, but no Bosses: Even the final battle is technically a whole bunch of enemies fought at once, while trying to destroy the object creating them.
  • Multi-Mook Melee: The pyramid in the second map is effectively a long stream of enemies that slowly gain variety and strength, culminating in a final Wolfpack Boss fight against a group of Blazes.
  • Planet Heck: A large part of the second map takes place in the afterlife, i.e. the Nether.
  • Resurrective Immortality: Horobus has achieved this using the Resurrection Machine, but can still be killed by destroying the Machine.
  • Shifting Sand Land: The setting of the first map and much of the second. It's Egypt, what did you expect?
