Rush'n Attack: Ex-Patriot is a 2011 Platform Game developed by Vatra Games and published by Konami, serving as the sequel to Rush'n Attack. It was released for the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 via Playstation and Xbox Live stores online. The game was publicly revealed on April 2010 at Konami Gamers Night. Ex-Patriot was seen by critics/gamers as a darker reboot of the original game.

The game takes place after the events of Rush'n Attack. The CIA finds out that the Russian government acquired an new mineral known as Ulyssium during the Cold War. A CIA unit known as Harvest was formed to investigate and infiltrate the USSR to find out what it was. The team left Russia during the collapse of the USSR, except for one Harvest operative named Rory Gibson. 15 years later, Sergeant Sid Morrow (callsign Wolf Spider) was recruited to form a new unit to extract Rory under Operation Angel Tear. Morrow's been tasked by Washington DC to see if someone in Russia is trying to reactivate the Ulyssium weapons program.

General consensus of the game was that it was a poor imitation of Chair Entertainment's Shadow Complex. As of 2024, the game is no longer available for purchase online.

Rush'n Attack: Ex-Patriot features examples of:

  • Alternate History: The Tunguska incident resulted in the discovery of the Ulyssium from a meteorite.
  • Applied Phlebotinum: Ulyssium.
  • Operation: [Blank]: The op to extract Rory and investigate signs of a covert weapons program in Russia is under "Operation: Angel Tear".
  • In the Back: Morrow can sneak up on enemies and kill them with his combat knife. There are rewards given if the player uses this tactic.
  • Shout-Out: The name "Ulyssium" is a blatantly obvious reference to Tiberium.
  • Stealth-Based Game: A rare side-scrolling example. Morrow needs to sneak around sentries and security cameras or an alarm triggered will make most enemies head to the last known location.
