Randy Learns Science
is a short horror game masquerading as an old edutainment game on Windows. It consists of the titular mouse, Randy, teaching science to the player through four interactive games, with a final challenge waiting at the end. But something is odd about this game…

Alright, let's go get down to the science of it:
- Ambiguous Gender: The titular Randy has a male name and is voiced by a man, but at the end of the anatomy minigame, they ask you if they are a boy mouse or girl mouse and give you respective genitalia to pin on their crotch. Whichever one you choose, an error message will erase that choice, leaving it ambiguous. According to
Word of God, Randy is a hermaphrodite. - And I Must Scream: The Ugly Ending implies that Randy traps the souls of players who fail the games too badly in the computer with him to act as his minions.
- Antagonist Title: Randy, the mouse mascot of the in-universe game, is a Wendigo who plans on eating the player.
- Big Bad: The titular Randy, aka Randigo, is a Wendigo haunting the game and using it to feast on the flesh of players.
- Bilingual Bonus: One screen with an exploding Randy has creepy Arabic text… that says "This text will look scary if you can't read Arabic."
- Blah, Blah, Blah: At the end of Randy Learns Zoology, the Blue Screen of Death message starts with the normal Windows message before devolving into this.A problem has been detected and blah blah blah. Hope you enjoyed the presentation. Here’s an error code or two. They’re gibberish.
- Brother–Sister Incest: The second question of the Science Quiz asks which of the four combinations makes a big mess. One of the answers is “You + Your Sister”, implying this or twincest.
- Foreshadowing: Clicking on the Internet Explorer link in the Recycling bin before you boot up the game directs you to the Wikipedia article for Wendigo.
- Minigame Game: The game is split into five minigames; a quiz game, painting game, building game, sorting game, and a Boss Battle against Randigo.
- Multiple Endings:
- Good Ending: You successfully fend off Randigo, but he is determined to get what he came for, namely: Your flesh. He dumps a bucket of lava(?) on you, melting away half of your skin. Somehow you survive the procedure (though you become horribly mutilated in the process) and live on to teach another Computer class.
- Bad Ending: You fail to deter Randigo. Randigo rejoices as he transfers your soul into the computer and presumably eats your flesh. A message pops up, informing you that it's never safe to turn off your computer.
- Ugly Ending: You do terrible at the games. Randy appears on your screen and expresses amazement at just how badly you screwed up and adding that he almost feels sorry for what's about to happen. A bunch of Randy-doppelgangers pop up around him and Randy asks whether you mind being "part of the crew". Of course he doesn't wait for an answer and transfers your soul into the computer.
- Number of the Beast: The clock on the fake Windows screen reads 6:66.
- Ominous Visual Glitch:
- The game has quite a bit of them. At one point in the painting minigame, Randy’s face will briefly become a swirl.
- Randy Learns Zoology has the character glitch a couple times before ending with them trying to begin question 4, only to get stuck on the word four and the screen to turn yellow and glitch out before turning into the infamous Blue Screen Of Death.
- Shout-Out:
- The Sorting Things Out minigame requires you to take three words or symbols and sort them into a specific order. One of the possible combinations is Fri Nite Funk.
- The Multiple Endings, Good, Bad, and Ugly, are named such as a reference to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
