Project Grimms is an upcoming videogame developed by Genki. It is a sequel of Grimms Notes and Grimms Echoes, which takes place in the real world, rather than one based on fairy tales. The game started development on March 2021, and its current progress can be seen here.

Tropes Present in the development's progress:

  • Anti-Frustration Features: The game will have LOG and AUTO buttons for it's cutscenes. These are common staples in mobile gacha games, and the previous two games were notorious for not having them, forcing the player to tap on the screen to move on the next dialogue, which can become tiresome during cutscenes that last more than 20 minutes.
  • Call-Back:
    • Akira wears a shirt with Alice's face (from Grimms Echoes). His shirt is not visible anymore in the finalized illustration.
    • There's a poster in the Theater Front that features an early cover of Grimms Notes with Ex, Reina, Shane and Tao.
  • Belly Mouth: The wolf boss has a huge mouth with More Teeth than the Osmond Family as his torso.
  • Delinquent Hair: An NPC from the school has the typical exaggerated pompadour.
  • Dual Wielding: The Queen of Hearts-like boss wields a sword and an axe.
  • Fat Best Friend: Nekota Akira is Meguru's best friend, whom he cares a lot about. He's also the fat guy of the main characters's group.
  • Identical Stranger:
    • Mad Hatter looks very similar to Lewis Carroll, specifically his Author skin.
    • The blue-haired and lavender-haired girls resemble Cinderella and Little Mermaid a lot.
    • Aihara Lisa is identical to the Alice from the previous games.
  • Idiot Hair: The player character Itou Meguru had it in his first design.
  • In-Universe Game Clock: The game has a clock system similiar to Persona 3 and Persona 4.
  • Multiple Head Case: One of the bosses in a three-headed bipedal wolf.
  • Smug Smiler: Rapunzel's default expression.
  • Wolverine Claws: Cheshire Cat has retractable purple claws.
