Pineapple on pizza (Pizza con piƱa) is an exploration game by Majorariatto. Started as a hidden small game within Majorariatto Museum, an improved version with 3D graphics and extra content was released separately on March 28, 2023.

You find yourself on the small tropical island inhabited by the "dancing people". It's up to you to explore what this island has to offer, and maybe find a secret hidden within.

The game is available for free on Steam and itch.io, and doesn't take more than 10 minutes to complete.

Provides examples of:

  • Because You Were Nice to Me: The bird man feeding a group of gulls almost makes it off the island when the birds pick him up by the arms and try to fly away. Sadly, they tire out and drop him into the lava.
  • Chekhov's Volcano: There is a volcano right in the centre of the island, with pretty much every path leading you to it. Jumping into it will cause an eruption and the complete destruction of the island.
  • Death from Above: The volcano's eruption will launch large boulders that smash the boats that are trying to flee the island.
  • Death of a Child: Kids and adults alike are victims of the approaching lava. In one scene, a mother is cradling her infant while standing on a boulder. As the volcano erupts, she attempts to save her child by tossing it to another islander before she gets engulfed by lava herself. He throws it to a panicking man that wasn't paying attention, who is the struck by the baby, causing the two of them to plunge into the lava.
  • Effortless Achievement: All 16 achievements are very easy to get, starting with "Play", which just requires you to start playing the game. Most of the rest only requires approaching a specific spot on the island, such as finding a turtle or a statue. As such, you can easily achieve 100% Completion in only a couple playthroughs.
  • "Everybody Dies" Ending: The game ends after a volcano destroys the whole island. There are no survivors left, note  and even those who tried to escape end up being dead one way or the other.
    • This can be Subverted with a person hanging off a cliff. They are approached by a Witch, who spins a Wheel of Decisions. Rarely, the wheel lands on a gold star and the person is attached to a balloon, becoming the Sole Survivor among humans. He is however being slowly carried straight up into the air, so his fate is only delayed.
  • Funny Background Event: It's not enough for the whole island to be doomed. There's a massive iceberg out in the distance on the horizon that a cruise liner ends up crashing into and sinking just moments before the camera pulls away to show the whole island.
  • Human Ladder:
    • A group of people on the cliff (from which you get the "Cliff" achievement) use this in attempt to get down after a regular path is blocked off by a lava.
    • The "Circle" group uses the same strategy to climb up the roof of one of the homes. It collapses due to sheer pressure.
  • Lava Pot Volcano: The volcano in the center of the island is one of these, with a gently bubbling lava lake in its caldera.
  • A Molten Date with Death: The player character meets their demise if you drop into a volcano (you can even see their body just as this happens), with the rest of the game playing from a ghost perspective.
  • Mickey Mousing: The villagers are dancing in tune to the music in their own ways. The most notable ones are those who dance in time with the two trumpet blasts, such as a circle of dancers who Dab to it.
  • Pineapple Ruins Pizza: Metaphorically. The description compares eating a pizza to holding a party in your mouth and states that game is about finding a way to ruin it. At first glance, it seems to be the case of Never Trust a Title, being a Tropical Island Adventure instead... up until you jump into an active volcano, causing it to erupt and destroy everything around it. The Wham Shot afterwards reveals that the island now looks like a Hawaiian Pizza, with the volcano representing a slice of pineapple. The original version from Majorariatto Museum made the message even clearer, as the line with a text greeting player changes into "You had to ruin it." In short, the game compares pineapple on pizza to a tragedy that cost many lives of the innocent.
  • Popcorn on the Cob: The corn plantations explode into a popcorn when the lava reaches it.
  • Shark Fin of Doom: The island is surrounded by a bunch of shark fins. They come into play when some some of the villagers try to escape from the island, but end up being eaten by the sharks.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The group of villagers on the beach by the boats are all dancing the Macarena.
    • A cruise liner ends up crashing into an iceberg way out in the distance where the turtle bolts off to.
  • Soundtrack Dissonance: As soon as the volcano takes its first victims and they start screaming, the music becomes even more upbeat than before.
  • Sturdy and Steady Turtles: You can find a turtle slowly trying to reach the ocean. It takes a bit less than two hours to get there. The turtle can be sped up however by making it touch the lava.
  • Tropical Island Adventure: The game takes place on a tropical island full of grass skirt-wearing villagers, all left for you to explore.
  • Wham Shot: The final shot before the credits reveals that the ruined island now looks like a pizza, with the lava representing a sauce and the volcano itself being a slice of the titular pineapple.
  • Vapor Wear: Some of the islanders visibly wear nothing under their grass skirts, as can be seen with the limbo group whenever they lean back, revealing that they possess Barbie Doll Anatomy.
