Night of the Funky Bot
is a Friday Night Funkin' mod created by SleepyPlayer16, in which BF and GF wander upon the polluted streets of Jet City where they encounter Lane, an eco-friendly robot catgirl with an attitude that featured in a previous game by Sleepyplayer, called Funkbot 02, and they naturally have a rap battle.
Originally released as a single new week mod in May 2021, the mod received an update in August, that overhauled the mod, and introduced two new weeks, new characters, and various bonus songs.

This mod provides examples of:
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Lane gets hacked by Path in the Week 2 intro cutscene, causing her to act erratic and unhinged towards BF and GF.
- Character Development: At the beginning of the week, Lane acts rude and mean towards Boyfriend and Girlfriend, only agreeing to have a rap battle with him in order to make him go away, but over the course of the week, they begin to bond, with Lane coming to enjoy rapping with BF, acting more friendly.
- Guest Fighter: The Cat Remix bonus song features Kapi from VS. Kapi - Arcade Showdown as the opponent
- Mythology Gag: Most of Lane's music tracks are adapted versions of tracks from Funkbot O2, many of which went unused. "Pollution" is based on "It's a Burning Funky Beat," "Earth" is based on "1, 2, 3, Go!", and "Getting Freaky" is based on "We Think It's Cool." The remaining two tracks, "Check This Out" and "Play That Beat," were used for the mod's menu and game over theme, respectively.
- Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Lane is a Robot Cat Girl who's also a eco-friendly gardener , and in her Minus design, she also resembles a greaser.
- Promoted to Playable:
- After Path defeats Boyfriend and Pico in the post-Impurity cutscene, Girfriend jumps up to sing against Path in Heaven Piercing Beat.
- During the events of the third week, as well as during Cat Remix, Lane appears as the player character, albeit in her minus form.
- Polluted Wasteland: Jet City is depicted as a heavily polluted smog-filled city, where plant-life is all but dead, and where wearing face-masks to breath in the toxic air is necessary, not that BF and GF need one apparently.
- Vocal Dissonance: According to her dialogue, Lane has both male and female voice banks installed in her, but she prefers to use the male one.
