Mr. Hopp's Manor Escape is a Room Escape Game in the Mr. Hopp's Playhouse series, serving as its second Spin-Off.
The purpose of the game is simply to escape from the titular manor resolving different puzzles while the Three Curses are roaming around the place in attempt to catch you.
The gameplay is inspired by Granny due to sharing similar elements.
This game provides examples of:
- Big Bad Triumvirate: Mr. Hopp, Miss Bo and Mr. Stripes per usual as they return to snatch the protagonist's soul.
- Character Customization: With the gem you earned, you can buy plenty of accessories for your character to wear. You can even have a pet to follow you around.
- Difficulty Levels: The player can chose between four different difficulties:
- Practice: None of the enemies can be selected.
- Normal: One of the enemies can be selected.
- Hard: Two of the enemies can be selected.
- Very Hard: All three of the enemies are automatically selected.
- Gameplay Grading: The game features this at the end of your run and rewards you with more gem depending on how high your rank is, or if you beat the game with B rank at minimum for the first time in each difficulty, unlocks a new character to play. The rank you get is based on how much time you take to escape, extra life you used, and "the six" medallions you collected.
- Gotta Catch Them All: The Six medallions are available in this game to collect. Get them all and the Three Curses will reverts back to their harmless plushie form for around a minute, allowing you to roam around the manor more freely in the meantime.
- Multiple Endings: The player can escape in three different ways: through the front door by collecting 3 of the dolls' tokens, through the trapdoor by using the key or by creating a hole in a cracked wall with an explosive barrel.
- Promoted to Playable: Esther's friends, Issac and Molly, who serves as supporting characters in Mr. Hopp's Playhouse 2 are unlockable characters to play here after beating the game with B rank at minimum in Normal and Hard difficulty respectively.
- Room Escape Game: The whole game consists in resolving different puzzles to find a way out while avoiding the Three Curses who are patrolling the manor.
- Unlockable Content: As you keep playing, you can unlock cosmetics and other playable characters such as Molly, Issac, and even Ruby.
