Master Chu and the Drunkard Hu is an unlicensed video game developed by Joy Van and published in North America by Color Dreams.

The Hindu god Shiva has cursed the village where Chu resides. Chu's friend Master Hu has failed to stop Shiva and has resorted to drinking. Chu must set out to stop Shiva and his minions.

In the game's ten levels, the player plays as Chu and must collect the eight harmony symbols hidden within. Collecting all eight icons transports the player to the level's boss.

Tropes:

  • A Winner Is You: Beating the game's final level produces a screen that simply says "The End".
  • Big Bad: The game's main enemy is the Hindu God Shiva who has cursed Chu's village.
  • Curse: This is what Shiva does to Hu's village.
  • Life Meter: Both players have a twelve-segment "LIF" bar at the bottom that sometimes changes color.
  • Plot Coupons: The game's levels have a series of eight harmony symbols, modeled after the Yin and Yang signs, which must be collected to move to the level boss.
  • Point of No Continues: Getting a Game Over any time after Level 7 will put the player back on Level 7 if they choose to continue.
