Idle Football Manager is an Idle Game by Vepro Games released in 2021. You manage a football (that's soccer if you're American) team by buying team members from the market, then put them in matches against nine other teams in a total of eighteen matches. Placing in the top two lets you advance to the next division, while placing in the bottom two drops you to the previous one. As you advance through the ranks, you gain access to new features like the stadium and television channels.

It is playable on Github.

This game provides examples of:

  • Achievement System: A list of achievements is available in which you can certain milestones, generally for unlocking features or earning enough money.
  • Artistic License – Sports: You can play a match with only one player, even when seven is the minimum number required to play or continue a match in real life. Of course, this is done so you are actually able to play, as you can't afford such a team at the start.
  • Combat Pragmatist: The team can be more aggressive to increase their stats at the cost of being more likely to earn red cards. You can also invert this and lower their aggressiveness to have lower stats, but not get red cards as often.
  • Consolation Prize: Losing a match, even by a large number of goals, gives you a minuscule amount of money that still manages to be better than what you'd get for winning in a lower division.
  • Export Save: You can copy or download the 55KB+ save file and paste it into an in-game window.
  • Zerg Rush: Downplayed and encouraged. The team's synergy is based on how many players are in the team and acts as a multiplier. It's made clear that it's better to have more weak players than one strong player.
