Known overseas as Avenger(s), Hissatu Buraiken involves Ryu and Ko arriving in Paradise City when Geshita raided it and kidnapped 6 women and the heroic duo must fight his gang and save the ladies.

Not to be confused with Marvel's Avengers. Ryu also holds no relation with the Street Fighter character of the same name.

Hissatu Buraiken contains the following tropes:

  • American Kirby Is Hardcore: The English flyer shows an artsyle closer to American comic books than the Japanese one.
  • Big Bad: Geshita kidnapped six girls in Paradise City and they need to be saved by Ryu and Ko.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Ryu was shown with blue jeans and he must defeat Geshita and save the women he kidnapped.
  • Damsel in Distress: Geshita kidnapped six women and the heroes must save them.
  • Hero Protagonist: Ryu fights alongside Ko to save the hostages from Geshita.
  • Light Is Good: One of the protagonists is shown in a white tanktop in the Japanese flyer and is out to stop Geshita.
  • Market-Based Title: Hissatu Buraiken in Japan, Avenger(s) elsewhere.
  • No Name Given: The only named characters are Ryu and Ko for the heroes and Geshita for the Big Bad. Nobody else in the game is named.
  • Snake Whip: There's an unnamed mercenary boss in the jungle stage whose weapon is a green boa-constrictor he uses as a whip.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: Geshita had white hair and has kidnapped six women when he raided Paradise City.
