Guy of My Dreams is an Adobe Flash game by Nerdook released in 2010. It's something of a rapid-fire Dating Sim. You start at 16 years old and have to gain as much as happiness as possible by the time you're 50, with time passing as you walk down a road. When you meet a boy, you'll start dating immediately and gaining happiness based on his looks (depending on how much they align with The Guy Of Your Dreams generated at the beginning) and traits (depending on their value). You can also collect chocolate (instant happiness), diamonds and roses (happiness if you have a lover), and career (happiness every year, more if you're single). Watch out for skulls that cause your boyfriend to die and girls that try to take him away.

This game provides examples of:

  • And Your Reward Is Clothes: There are seven achievements that unlock dresses for the player character once they're unlocked.
  • Boy of My Dreams: The girl has a randomly generated Guy of Her Dreams and if she meets him, she'll get the best appearance bonuses.
  • Cartwright Curse: It's possible for the girl to kill lots of men she hooks up with if she runs into the skull icon often.
  • A Deadly Affair: If your lover turns out to be Unfaithful and you run into a skull, killing him.
  • End-Game Results Screen: Te end screen tells you how much happiness you've had and gives a rating from 0 to 5 stars.
  • False Soulmate: Even if you do find The Guy of Your Dreams, he can have several negative traits that you won't actually gain happiness or even lose it if you keep him around.
  • Girls Love Chocolate: The girl you're playing gets a small bonus to happiness every time she picks up chocolate.
  • Hidden Depths: Every year, you discover a new personality trait related to your lover, whether it's positive (like Attractive, A Gentleman, Talented), neutral (Geeky, Stubborn, Annoying) or negative (A Smoker, A Criminal, A Murderer).
  • Married to the Job: Career Bonus provides +1 if you're in a relationship or +3 if you're single. If you get enough pickups and don't date anyone, you won't receive any bonuses from a relationship and won't meet the Guy of Your Dreams, but you'll live a decent enough life on your own.
  • This Is a Work of Fiction: The title screen tells you this is just a game and you shouldn't take it seriously.
  • Timed Mission: Everything in the game has to be done before you're 50.
