Blood Moon is an independently produced Gamebook-style game by Barabara Truelove. It is hosted by Choice of Games' user submitted label Hosted Games. An Urban Fantasy story, it tells about a pack of werewolves trying to survive in a city full to the brim of vampires, hunters, witches and perhaps a ghost or two. As one of the pack's newer members, you have to navigate this paranormal underbelly and determine your fate, alongside the future of your lupine friends and family.

Also find a mate, if you feel like it.

The game can be found here. The first few chapters are available as a free demo.

This game contains the following tropes:

  • Anyone Can Die: Quite literally. Every pack member may die during the final battle, and it's not only the point in the story where major characters kick the bucket.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: According to Shawnie, leadership disputes between werewolves usually come down to fighting. And sure enough, the election in Chapter 10 will almost always end in a duel.
  • Character Customization: You get to customize your appearance early on, though it doesn't come up often due to the medium's nature.
  • Earn Your Bad Ending: Though all manners of Bittersweet Ending are easily available, the ending where Carrie kills Roe and dooms the Player Character to die requires an insanely specific series of choices to be made first.
  • Fur Against Fang: The story largely revolves around the conflict between the pack and local vampires, with the differences between the two species being emphasized at multiple points.
  • Mundane Utility: Marco's favorite use of his werewolf form is pretending to be a dog and eating leftovers from an expensive restaurant. He even invites the Player Character to join in.
  • Purely Aesthetic Gender: Very little changes depending on the player's choice of gender, with all romance options being available regardless.
  • Urban Fantasy: Of a Masquerade variety, with all manners of supernaturals hidden from the public eye.
