Live the big adventure of a small bee!
Bee Simulator is a Simulation Game developed by VARSAV Game Studios and published by Nacon. The game was first released to Steam in November 2020 followed by release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

In the game the player takes the role of a honeybee who has just learned from the queen that the tree holding the hive they live and work in is set to be cut down. The player now has to take the role of the bee and fly away from the hive to collect nectar, pollinate flowers and plants, and protect the hive from the occasional wasp or large intruder.

Tropes:

  • A Day in the Limelight: The game stars a honey bee and the player takes the role of a honey bee. Obviously the bees can talk to each other like humans.
  • Artistic License – Biology: When a real bee stings, a portion of the back of its body including the stinger breaks off and the bee succumbs to the injury. The bee in this game is never killed by having to sting and they can sting however many times they want.
  • Bee-Bee Gun: Subverted because you are playing as a bee! You need to sting any threat to you or your hive just as real bees do.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: Your bee has a default name, which you can change if you want.
  • Hornet Hole: Naturally the game's hub level is a beehive.
  • Punny Name: Your bee's default name is Beescuit.
  • Truth in Television: You play as a female bee, which makes sense considering worker bees are female.
  • Wide-Open Sandbox: The world outside the hive is a wide open sandbox that allows the player to freely fly around as they complete objectives.
