About me!
- I was diagnosed on the Autism spectrum when I was very young (high-functioning Asperger's and ADHD), so if I sound like I'm rambling and having issues perseverating too much on something, now you know!
- I am very much into both women and men! Though this took a long while for me to realize...
- I plan on becoming a film director and screenwriter, as soon as I find a job that offers me a way in.
- Let's just say I'm often my own worst critic. Not helped by not having had the best of lives growing up...
I contain examples of:
- Verbal Tic: I sometimes catch myself using some words repeatedly, both in real life and in my works.
- Sliding Scale of Idealism Versus Cynicism: A lot of my works flip-flop between idealism and cynicism. It often depends on the type of tone and mood I'm going for!
- Sunburn Trilogy:
- Snow: Often leans towards the Idealism end of the scale, with quite a few moments of levity and romantic fluff, which just makes the moments where things take a much more serious turn much more harrowing.
- Glass: Leans more in line with the Cynicism end of the scale, following plots of one of the antagonists of Snow having more on the surface than initially thought, the abuse he suffers at the hands of his father, Gothic Horror inspired nightmare sequences, and themes of societal unrest and corruptible power. Not helped by being written during one of the most emotionally-turbulent periods of my life, hence why it's also been taking a while to get finished.
