• Actor Allusion:
  • When Hiei hears the guy voiced by Chuck Huber, he mentions that he's heard his voice before. He would know.
  • Also in the first episode, Kuwabara claims that he isn't Vegeta (whom Christopher Sabat also voiced). It becomes even funnier when you realize that later, Lanipator went on to voice him in Dragon Ball Abridged.
  • Kuwabara compares Genkai to Freeza, and she retorts by calling him a "gay Vegeta."
• Creator Backlash: In recent years, Lani has not look back fondly at his series and in his mind there are "more misses than hits" regarding the jokes, however he is grateful for the opportunities that came to him as a result of this.
• Development Hell:
  • The first three arcs were all completed and released in 2007, whereas the fourth arc took three years to complete. Lampshaded in the Youtube description of the fifth arc, which Lanipator said he completed within one week. As of 2014, Lani has stated he has no plans to continue working on YYHA.
