• The Other Darrin: Both the English dub and most of the foreign-language versions replaced the voice actors from the animated series:
  • Special mention goes with the Latin American Spanish dub, as, unlike the dub of the anime, which was done in Cuernavaca, the one from the live-action series is done in Mexico City instead. Additionally, the dub from this show is also different from the dub of the 2024 Mexico City redub of the anime series.
• Role Reprise: On the other hand, and, at least in the Brazilian dub for the series, some of the main cast of the first broadcast (in the late-1990s) and its redubbing (in the mid-2000s) return to dub their live-action counterparts, for Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei, Botan, Keiko, Yukina, Koenma (only adult version as of now), Elder Toguro and Younger Toguro.
