• Actor Allusion: The real Yukio Hattori ("Hattori-san") from the original Iron Chef is a guest judge on episode 7.
• Cross-Dressing Voices: Kazuma Azuma and Shigeru Kanmuri were respectfully voiced by voice actresses Yumiko Kobayashi and Marina Inoue. It was also played straight in the English dub for Animax.
  • However, it was averted in Filipino dub. Kazuma and Shigeru were respectfully voiced by Louie Paraboles and Jefferson Utanes.
