  • Exiled from Continuity: Complex legal issues resulted in Wonder Woman and her supporting cast being unable to appear in a number of DC television adaptations. Her sidekick, Wonder Girl, was barred from appearing in the cartoon adaptations of Teen Titans and Young Justice (2010) (though for the latter, Greg Weisman has said that the issues were eventually lifted). Wonder Girl finally joined the cast in season 2 of the latter series.
  • First Appearance: "Wonder Girl" as a character first appeared in Wonder Woman (1942) #23 in 1947 as Diana in a flashback to her youth. She was then used in the "Impossible Stories" starting in 1961, though these are not at any point considered to have actually happened. The Wonder Girl who is definitely Donna Troy, but isn't named yet, first appears in The Brave and the Bold #60 in 1965 as a member of the Teen Titans and gets her name in 1969.
  • Tuckerization: When creating a new Wonder Girl for Wonder Woman Vol 2 John Byrne named her Cassandra Sandsmark after his friend Joanna Sandsmark. Later Joanna would get to write Cassie in Wonder Woman Secret Files and Origins #1.
