- Missing Trailer Scene: Dalton's prologue death in the final game is decidedly different from the trailers; whereas Zero-Day has drones violently gun him down in an ambush in the final, in the trailers it was an Albion ambush and Nigel Cass being the one to gun him down personally. Notably, the montage of London's decline afterwards shows Nigel still holding up the Pig mask Dalton had in the trailer and was emphasized as evidence of his death, despite Dalton wearing a more traditional gas mask in the final version; though there was a lot of DedSec material there to frame them. The pig mask is used in the actual game during the climax leading up to the reveal of Zero Day.
- Screwed by the Lawyers: A very minor example, but the branding of the in-game coffee chain "Staroger Coffee" used to be green and white, rather like its namesake Starbucks. Clearly, this was a little too similar to the original, as the green was later replaced with red.
- Special Guest: The voices for The Bug are actually Andy Zaltzman and Alice Fraser, current hosts of The Bugle in real life.
- Uncredited Role: Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw isn't officially credited as such, but he's affirmed in more than one occasion
of being brought in early in the game's development as a writer to help "punch up" some of Bagley's dialogue.
