Trivia / Upin & Ipin

• Acting for Two: Upin and Ipin are both voiced by Nur Fathiah Diaz (and later by Asyiela Putri).
• Children Voicing Children: Ehsan, Mail, and twins Upin and Ipin are voiced by actual kids. Eventually subverted in the case of Upin and Ipin's voice actress as she continues to mature.
• Cross-Dressing Voices:
  • The eponymous twins, who are both young boys, are voiced by a young girl, Nur Fathiah Diaz. In season 4 up to present, they are voiced by Asyiela Putri.
  • The male Fizi (the Neat Freak of the kids) is voiced by Ida Rahayu Yusoff, later replaced by Rufaidah Mohamed Fadzil, both of whom are women.
• Dawson Casting: Mei Mei, Jarjit, Fizi, et al. (possibly) are voiced by adult voice actors.
• Fanwork Ban: The MCMC (Malaysian Communications And Multimedia Commission) had forced a fan 3D rendering studio to permanently remove NSFW 3D animations of Kak Ros (No, seriously.).
• The Other Darrin:
  • Nur Fathiah Diaz voiced both twins through seasons 1-3. She was replaced by Asyiela Putri in season 4 onwards.
  • Ida Rahayu Yusoff voiced Fizi until season 7, where she has been replaced by Rufaidah Mohamed Fadzil.
