Trivia / Unshaved Mouse

Go To

  • Creator Backlash:
    • He's come to dislike his Gravity Falls review, as the central gimmick of Bill Cipher narrating the whole thing didn't really pan out.
    • In his review of Eternals, Mouse apologized for his review of The New Mutants, as he admitted that he phoned it in due to being unenthused about the movie and not being in the right headspace to talk about it.
    • Mouse also isn't a fan of his review for Chicken Little, as he felt that he was far too lenient on the film in retrospect.
  • Milestone Celebration:
    • For the fifth anniversary of his blog, he reviewed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in greater depth than he did the first time.
    • He scheduled his review of the Canon's 60th movie, Encanto, to coincide with his blog's 10th anniversary.
  • Missing Episode: The Song of the South review disappeared in 2021, due to "maintenance".
  • Release Date Change: He originally announced that he would post his Black Widow (2021) review on Halloween, until he decided to release another Bats vs. Bolts as his 2021 Halloween Episode instead. This pushed back the Black Widow review to November 18, 2021, until he decided to bump it up a few days to November 15, 2021.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: "Dammit, it’s no 'Am I Feeling Love'!" lost a lot of its punch after the YouTube clip Mouse shared of the number disappeared; now only readers who've seen or sampled The Thief and the Cobbler in one of its bastardized Aladdin cash-in forms can understand the analogy.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Was planning on tackling The Wild for his Disney reviews, since it's included in the Disney Animated Canon in Europe. He decided against it since Dinosaur is included in its place in America.
    • Mouse announced plans in June 2021 to review the MCU's Disney+ series as part of his Marvel rankings, but his disappointments with the finale of WandaVision and the number of shows he would have to cover convinced him not to. He did briefly discuss his thoughts on some of the other shows while covering Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but didn't give full reviews for them due to finding most of them mediocre at best.
    • Early on in the blog's life, Unshaved Mouse had considered trying to join Channel Awesome, due to believing that his style of humor would mesh well with what the website had to offer at the time in the early 2010s. He very quickly abandoned the idea after discovering the site was a nightmare to navigate and use, on top of being heavily suspicious about what kind of person Doug Walker was.
