• Follow the Leader: Although Treasure Chest was better-regarded and more successful, it actually followed in the footsteps of the very similar Catholic comic Timeless Topix, started in 1941 and based in St. Paul, Minnesota. A young, pre-Peanuts Charles Schulz (who wasn't Catholic, though he was a devout Christian) worked at Timeless Topix for a while.^note Schulz mainly did lettering, but also contributed a one-off gag feature called Just Keep Laughing.
