Trivia / Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie

Go To

  • Throw It In!: Tim and Eric have admitted on the commentary track that many of the silent reaction shots occurred when they told the actors the cameras were off when they were really left rolling for authenticity.
  • What Could Have Been: The very expensive opening scene was really going to feature a famous actor like Tom Cruise or the real Johnny Depp, but Tim and Eric soon realized that all of the suggested actors had made fun of themselves in the past so it wouldn't have been as funny to see them spoofing themselves again.
    • Bob Odenkirk was slated to play Reggie the used toilet paper salesman but scheduling conflicts prevented this from happening.
    • A much earlier version of the script involved David Liebe Hart and James Quall as two detectives hired by Schlaaang Corporation to track down Tim and Eric.
    • Tim and Eric have mentioned that their original concept was their fictionalized selves taking over an entire town, but this was scaled down to just a mall for budget reasons. While the plot was always meant to be surreal, certain elements seem a little less outlandish if you picture them happening in a small self-governed town rather than a mall.
