A large majority of the ensemble cast can be recognised by the In The Line Of Duty series character list as well as the Once Upon a Time in China role call.
  • Completely Different Title: The Original Title translated from Cantonese is Money Laundering.
  • The Danza: David Wu as David.
  • Friendship on the Set: During the filming of Tiger Cage 2, Robin Shou made friends with David Wu. His exerpt tells in detail what happened on set:
This was was a unique film in a way because all the male leads, including myself, were from oversea or ex-patriots. Donnie Yen, me, Gary Chow and David Wu - the Wu-man. David was from Seattle. A teen idol to the girls. We played best friends in the movie and I got to beat the living day light out of him.

Because David was not a martial artist, he had a stunt double to do all his moves. Sound kind of easy, right? NO! Whenever he was hitting me or fighting me, they used a stunt double, BUT when ever I was hitting, I was hitting HIM. I mean, I really let him have it, but he was cool.

We became really good friend on the film. We still keep in touch. In fact, I just saw him in Shanghai a month ago [Nov 2006]. Whenever he's in town, he will stay with me. We can't believe that we stayed friends after so many years. I think that was the best part of the movie, I made a really good friend.
  • You Look Familiar:
    • Donnie Yen was in both movies, but as different characters, respectively as Inspector Terry and Inspector Yau. Fans were no doubt wondering how did Terry come back from being shot dead in the first film before realizing the second film is an independent, standalone sequel.
    • Carol Cheung is in both movies, she was Shirley in the first movie and Petty Lee in the second. Compared to Donnie Yen, her character survives the first movie in the climax. Petty sadly wasn't so lucky after making the mistake of confronting her Big Bad Boyfriend Waise Chow.
