• Based on a Dream:
  • Thorn heard the verse guitar melody for "Single Moving Star" in a dream.
  • She dreamed up "Face Down Walls" being performed by Captain Sensible in the style of his solo song "Wot!". Most of the lyrics that aren't recycled from "An O in Hell" came from the dream.
  • The "Shark (A Distraction)" section of "Tell Me About Your Planet" is based on a short dream where someone was singing something beautifully one word at a time, but then they ended flatly on the word "shark"; Mikaela woke up laughing. The full song approximates the original dream and the comedic abruptness as it transitions to the "Shark" section.
  • "Corvid Clouded Eyes" is about different sleep paralysis hallucinations she's experienced in her life.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The impetus for releasing The Forgotten Ones 2 (The Free Music, 2009-2021) was that much of the music included was unavailable in its original form or at least hard to find. Three records and a cover of Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer" were released on the Futures Passed Free Music online label, which ceased in 2013; the material was re-released, remixed and/or remastered in a few forms in the following years, but you had to know where to look. The compilation also included tracks that were only uploaded to MySpace, YouTube and Soundcloud circa-2009-2013 but were never made available to download and had long been deleted.
