• Directed by Cast Member: Arguably the biggest example of this trope without Star Trek in the title (just about the only non-child regulars who didn't direct episodes were Polly Draper^note who got behind the cameras later on, anyway, with The Naked Brothers Band and Patricia Wettig) - there were so many episodes that "Going Limp" has Elliot making his directorial debut on a commercial as a major plot point. Well, they say you should write about what you know... (By the way, that episode was not directed by Timothy Busfield - it was one of Melanie Mayron's.)
