Trivia / The World of David the Gnome

Go To

  • Completely Different Title: The original Spanish title is "David, el Gnomo" which directly translates into David the Gnome. The sequel is "The call of the gnomes" but it was translated as "The wisdom of the gnomes".
    • In the English dub, the title is "The World of David The Gnome".
    • In the Italian dub it is called "David, amico mio", which means David, my friend.
    • In the Finnish dub, they went entirely on a different road and the title is just "Tontut", which translates directly into "The Gnomes". The title stayed same even in the sequel, though being a bit more fitting this time since Wisdom did have more gnomes than in the former.
    • Pretty much every episode title in either David or Wisdom is completely different in Spanish and English. Several of the latter are reduced to the given location (for example, "Andalusia" was originally called "The Wildfire").
    • The final episode in the Finnish dub is called "Kaukaiset vuoret" which is literally "The Distant Mountains", leaving the title more ambiguous than the original Spanish and the English dub title "The Mountains of Beyond".
