• Follow the Leader: While the concept is challenging and requires plenty of dedication (and ideas) to write, Victors Project has inspired a handful of fanfics that not only chronicles the 73 Victors before Katniss and Peeta, but also minor arcs such as the rise of President Snow.
• Official Fan-Submitted Content: Lorelei, the District 8 tribute of the 68th Games, was created by a fan who submitted the 1,000th review of The Victors Project.
• Outdated by Canon: Common with the first ten Hunger Games, thanks to the release of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
  • In The Hunger Games, the only information about District Twelve's first victor was that they died some time prior to the start of the trilogy. It's revealed that District 12 did indeed win the Tenth Games, but the tribute was a girl named Lucy Gray Baird instead of a boy named Camden Donner.
  • Coriolanus Snow's origins are also explained, where he's shown to be an impoverished Academy student instead of an intern behind the Black Banquet Massacre.
  • The novel mentions that the first ten Hunger Games were in an abandoned amphitheater with no frills.
• What Could Have Been: Oisin55 considered writing a transgender tribute or character. He scrapped the idea because he wasn't sure if he could write one well whose status wasn't a gimmick.
  Oisin55: While I have considered utilising a transgender tribute or character, and I do try to work for strong LGBT representation, I'm not sure I can properly compose a transgender character who's trans status isn't a gimmick, especially in such a stressful and complex setting like Panem. If that changes in the future I'd certainly like to try, but for now I think you [the reviewer who made that suggestion] deserved an explanation.
