• Content Leak: In September 2005, a user of a Simpsons fan forum purchased an early draft of the episode's script on eBay. While some plot points remained the same, such as Homer ruining Lisa's homemade Father's Day gift, dressing up as the Safety Salamander, and running for mayor, others were changed. For instance, Mayor Quimby was to be recalled for accepting bribes from Laramie Cigarettes, rather than ignoring a multi-car pileup as in the finished episode. A sample of pages from the script was posted on October 2nd, 2005, when the episode premiered on November 20th, 2005.
