• What Could Have Been:
  • Ezio Greggio’s first choice for the part of Jo Dee Fostar was Leslie Nielsen, but he was informed the production had no hope of affording Nielsen. Greggio was initially reluctant to cast Billy Zane, who was known only for dramatic works, but changed his mind after meeting with him. Zane was delighted, as he’d been longing to do more comedy.
  • Charlene Tilton was initially considered for a much smaller role, likely one of the cameos. However, when his first choice for the part of Jane Wine passed on it, Ezio Greggio decided Tilton would be perfect for the role.
  • Zelda Rubinstein was considered for a role but they ultimately couldn’t find a place for her.
