• Defictionalization: In The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices there was a book called The Shadowhunter Codex which was a textbook for new Shadowhunters with information about Shadowhunter life. Cassandra Clare later really wrote the book as a companion to the other books in The Shadowhunter Chronicles.
