  • Creator's Favorite Episode: In a 1994 interview, Roy Wood named "Blackberry Way" as his favourite song in the band, commenting that it could have been performed in any era and still worked.
  • Died During Production: Carl Wayne, who passed away in 2004.
  • No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: Averted big time with Tony Secunda, the band’s first manager. Oh sure, the gangster costumes and smashed contraptions made for great copy. But for their single "Flowers in the Rain", Secunda came up with a promo postcard depicting then-PM Harold Wilson in bed with his secretary (they were rumored to be having an affair at the time). Wilson was not amused. He was so not amused that he placed the band under MI5 surveillance. Then he filed a libel suit against them. Wilson won the suit and the band not only had to pay all legal costs but also had to donate royalties from the single to charity. Needless to say, the band found a new manager after that.
