  • Completely Different Title:
    • The French translation uses the title Une délicieuse petite sorcière ("A Delightful Little Witch").
    • The Korean translation by Choi Woon Kwon uses the title 빗자루를 빼앗긴 작은 마녀 (Bisjaluleul Ppaeasgin Jag-eun Manyeo, "Little Witch Deprived of a Broom").
    • The Russian translation by Yuri Iosifovich Korinets uses the title Маленькая Баба-Яга (Malen'kaya Baba-Yaga, "Little Baba Yaga").
    • The Ukrainian translation uses the title Мала Баба-Яга (Mala Baba-Yaha, "Little Baba Yaga").
    • The Vietnamese translation uses the title Chuyện về bà phù thuỷ ngồi trên cán chổi ("The Tale of the Witch Who Sits on the Broomstick").
  • Dueling Dubs:
    • The book has been translated into Chinese by two different people: 小女巫 (Xiǎo Nǚwū) by Zhang Jiehong in mainland China and 小巫婆 (Xiǎo Wūpó) by Zheng Ruqing in Taiwan.

  • Adaptation Overdosed: The book has spawned live-action television films, a radio play, eight stage plays, a hand-drawn filmstrip, an animated television series, an animated film, and a live-action theatrical film.
  • Completely Different Title: The film adaptation of the Czechoslovak-West German animated series is called Wie die kleine Hexe das Zaubern lernte ("How the Little Witch Learned to Do Magic") in German.
  • International Coproduction: The book was adapted into a Czechoslovak-West German animated television series in 1984 and a German-Swiss live-action film in 2018.
  • Self-Adaptation: Otfried Preußler adapted the book into a stage play in 1973.
