Trivia / The Last Shark

  • California Doubling: Some Italian movies set in America were actually entirely filmed there (such as Impatto mortale and Thunder); this one was shot in Georgia... and Malta.
  • Fake American: Well obviously, most of the main cast — but despite RiffTrax's claim, Quint -er, I mean Ron Hamer is played by an actual American, Vic Morrow. Similarly, while the writers of the song playing over the windsurfing-filled main titles didn't speak English as their first language, the actual singer (Yvonne Wilkins) did.
  • No Export for You: Universal infamously pulled the film from theatres, and apart from a couple of unofficial home video releases, including a limited edition set of 500 DVDs, it wasn't seen in the United States for many years, though it was available on videodisc in Japan with subtitles burned in. In 2016, the film became available as a legitimate VOD, albeit as a release by RiffTrax.
