• Author's Saving Throw: In the web novel version, Mariya is a trans woman who tries to sexually harass Seiya for finding out her biological sex, and then identifies as a man after losing to Seiya. The transphobic stereotyping in the web novel version led to Mariya being replaced in the light novel version by Boros, a Pretty Boy who is sensitive about his hair growth.
• Schedule Slip: Episodes 3 and 10 were delayed from their supposed airing dates (the former was caused by a typhoon hitting Japan). To compensate for this, the studio decided to release the final two episodes on the same week - Episode 11 aired on December 25, 2019, while Episode 12 aired on December 27.
• Word of God: According to an afterword from the author, Seiya is based on the playstyle of RPG players who like to min-max their stats via Level Grinding or Stat Grinding even before taking on the game's quests. As a result, min-maxers tend to become overpowered when they do finish quests at their current state. The author also states that they are this type of player, since they hate dying and having to start over.
