• Box Office Bomb: Budget, Unknown. Box office, $9,689,816.
• Completely Different Title: The film was released in Spanish as Una bruja en Nueva York ("A Witch in New York") in Spain and as ¡Qué linda adivina! ("What a Cute Fortune-Teller!") in Latin America.
• Creator Killer: It is the only feature film directed by Terry Hughes (though his TV career still survives), and also the only film credit for screenwriters Ezra Litwak and Marjorie Schwartz.
• Old Shame: In her 2019 memoir Inside Out, Demi Moore regretted starring in the film, saying she only did it to increase her fee after the success of Ghost.
