- Hostility on the Set: Cary Grant and Myrna Loy didn't get along at all, while Shirley Temple was naturally harboring her own resentment at already being considered a has-been as a teenager.
- Referenced by...: Dick and Susan's "You remind me of the man..." bit was copied by David Bowie for his song "Magic Dance", appearing in the film Labyrinth.
- What Might Have Been: After the success of that film, Cary Grant and Shirley Temple were signed to appear in Roman Holiday, a Liberty Films (the same company that produced It's a Wonderful Life) project which RKO was supposed to distribute. After Liberty Films was acquired by Paramount, the project remained in limbo until it was resurrected in 1951, with William Wyler at the helm. The finished film would star Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, the latter in an Academy Award-winning Star-Making Role.
