- Acting for Two: In the English dub:
- Colin O'Meara plays Tintin, as well as Aurora radio operator, the Harbour Master and Lieutenant Kavitch.
- Archibald Haddock and his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock are both played by David Fox.
- Denis Akiyama voices Mitsuhirato, Bunji Kuraki and Tharkey.
- Ho Chow plays Mr. Lee and Cheng LiasKin.
- Peter Wildman voices Hector and Alfred Alembick.
- Breakthrough Hit: For Ellipse Animation. While this was not the studio's first collaboration with the already world-renowned Nelvana (having previously done Babar with them), the immense success and acclaim the series received quickly put Ellipse at the forefront of the French animation scene, and they would soon become France's go-to studio for any Animated Adaptation of a comic book (such as Blake and Mortimer). And this was only 4 years after their 1987 establishment!
- International Coproduction: The series was produced by Ellipse Animation in France and Nelvana in Canada.
- Multiple Languages, Same Voice Actor: Susan Roman voices Snowy in the original English releases as well as the foreign dubs.
- Role Reprise: In the 2015 Latin American Spanish dub, Ricardo Mendoza and Luis Alfonso Mendoza reprise their respective roles as Thomson and Thompson from the 2011 film.
- What Could Have Been: The series was popular enough that Nelvana considered producing a feature-length animated Tintin film. Unfortunately for them, the idea had to be shot down when they discovered Steven Spielberg had already acquired the rights to producing a Tintin movie way back in 1982 (which of course would come into fruition... in 2011).
