- Actor Allusion:
- This ain't the only time Tom Wright came back from the dead in a horror anthology, but there, he was a hitchhiker, who only wanted a ride from the lady who ran him over.
- Also also, this isn't the first time Michael Massee has played a killer (in this case, a Killer Cop) whose victim comes back from the dead one year after the murder and kills him with heroin needles. The fact that he dies in a position like Jesus on the cross might also remind you of the "Jesus Christ" joke from that movie.
- Descended Creator: Director Rusty Cundieff plays Richard Garvey, the teacher in the "Boys Do Get Bruised" segment.
- Playing Against Type: David Alan Grier, who normally does comedy roles, is seen here in a dramatic role as an abusive father. note
- Production Posse: Roger Guenveur Smith once again shows up in a Spike Lee production.
- Sequel Gap: The direct-to-video sequel was released 24 years after the first film.
- What Could Have Been: There is apparently an alternate ending shot for "KKK Comeuppance", where Duke Metzger is apparently lynched, hung with an American flag by the dolls rather than eaten alive by them, being hung from the tree he had pointed out earlier. Reportedly, this was to be the original ending, until the producers asked for a death with the dolls front and center, even allocating additional days for the shooting.
