  • Executive Meddling: In Daniel Keys Moran's original treatment of "A Barve Like That," Boba Fett was trapped in the Sarlacc for years instead of days, and the creature was sentient and self-aware in its own right, both of which were vetoed by Lucasfilm. The character of Susejo ("O Jesus" backwards) was created in response—the Sarlacc's first victim, his mind is now symbiotically linked to it, allowing him to take its place in the story. Unhappy with the final product, Moran had it published under the Pen Name J. D. Montgomery.
