- Acting for Two: Most of the main characters and many of the minor characters are played by Daneboe, Bobjenz, or Kevin Brueck.
- Approval of God: His parody of HowToBasic, How To Make The Annoying Orange got approval from Mr. Basic himself. One of the first comments in the video's comment section is from the official HowToBasic channel and jokes about how "good" is HowToBasic cooking.
- Contest Winner Cameo:
- Picture Contest announced a contest for fans to make their own Annoying Orange pictures and upload them to Orange's Facebook page. The contest ran from 5/21/2010 to 5/29/2010. The top 19 pictures were featured in Picture Contest Winners!, and six of the top 19 were also featured in Back to the Fruiture. The creators of the top 19 pictures each received an Annoying Orange T-shirt, and the creator of the best picture also received $100.
- Be a star! announced a contest for fans to record videos of themselves saying "I’m a star! A great big shining star! Yaaaay!" and upload them to YouTube as video responses to the episode. The contest ran from 6/3/2011 to 6/10/2011. The winner got to be the Star saying the line in Meteortron (Transformers Spoof), and the top 34 audition videos were featured in Viewer Auditions For Meteortron.
- Enforced Method Acting: Prank Call #1: Tanning Salon is a real prank call.
- Fake Brit: Celery from Excess Cabbage and Best Fiends Forever.
- Long-Runners: The series, having began in 2009, has being going on strong ever since. Even after the initial novelty of it has pretty much faded, the channel still continues to produce content to this day.
- The Merch: There are official Annoying Orange toys, Annoying Orange shirts, Annoying Orange stickers, Liam the Leprechaun shirts, and Gagfilms shirts.
- Missing Episode: AO_viztone.
- Non-Singing Voice: Lady Pasta from Lady Pasta and Annoying Orange Comedy Roast! is voiced by Lauren from The Key of Awesome, but the Lady Pasta song is sung by Sarah from The Gregory Brothers.
- The Other Darrin:
- A rare prop example—Orange is always voiced by Daneboe, but in YouTube Meets Daneboe and The Annoying Orange!, Super Bowl Football, Annoying Orange Saw, and Smosh: I LOST MY HAIR!/I LOST MY HAIR! (EN ESPAÑOL), he's "played" by different oranges instead of the usual Stock Footage.
- After playing Grapefruit for 10 years, Bobjenz finally stepped down from the role and was succeeded by Jon Bailey.
- Queer Character, Queer Actor: Non-binary Marshmallow is one of the many characters voiced by Daneboe, who in December 2023 came out as trans and uses they/them pronouns.
- Referenced by...: Has its own page.
- Screwed by the Network: The TV show ended in March 2014, barely two years after it premiered. It was getting poor ratings anyway, though that could be owed to a lack of promotion on Cartoon Network's part and the fact that the novelty of the web series had since then faded.
- What Could Have Been:
- A teaser for Liam the Leprechaun's spinoff advertises three new characters: Robot from Bobjenz's earlier Robot and Me series, some sort of laptop-using buddha, and the Terror-Dactyl. While the Terror-Dactyl did show up (in the first episode), the other two characters have yet to appear alongside Liam.
- Jory Caron and Jon Paula from Is It a Good Idea to Microwave This? approached Daneboe for a possible introduction to one of their videos (specifically an experiment where they microwave an orange). Daneboe never returned their calls or emails.
