• Also, from here on, the cover lacks the Comics Code Authority Seal of Approval, and displays the words "Sophisticated Suspense" above the title, signifying that the series is now intended for mature readers.
• Recycled Script: Matt rejects the Swamp Thing's attempt to clear him of responsibility for Arcane possessing him: "No. I let him. I was weak...There isn't any evil, Alec [...] There's just weakness." Years later, in From Hell, Moore put a similar idea into the mouth of Prince Eddy, whose dalliance with a shopgirl leads indirectly to the Whitechapel murders, for which he now feels responsible. "Jem," he tells his gay friend while reluctantly submitting to oral sex, "I'm so weak. I-I'm not bad...Just weak."
