• Acting for Two: Amy Jo Johnson plays both Susie and Maggie.
• Dawson Casting: Amy Jo Johnson was 26 years old at the time of filming, and Justin Whalin was 22, both of them playing high school-aged teenagers.
• Playing Against Type: Given that Teri was one of Andrea Libman's first roles, it's understandable, but it's still weird to hear such Deadpan Snarker lines coming from the voice of Pinkie Pie or Fluttershy.
• Production Posse: Many Saban Entertainment regulars are involved in the making of this film, despite it not technically being an actual Saban product (it was from Libra Pictures, which basically functioned as a way for Saban to make more adult-oriented productions, akin to Touchstone Pictures and Disney). These include Shuki Levy, Lance H. Robbins, James Shavick, Doug Sloan, and Amy Jo Johnson, who had just wrapped up her stint on Saban flagship Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: This film does not have a VHS or DVD release so far. It's been made available on Disney Family Movies On-Demand every once in a while, though.
