- Black Sheep Hit: The album is radically different from Joel's prior and later work as Vargskelethor, being a comedy album based around intentionally low-quality riffs on the Ghostbusters theme, but it ended up becoming his most popular work as a musician. So much so, in fact, that it became his first album to receive a deluxe edition in 2023.
- Corpsing: Joel laughs at his own dumb lyrics repeatedly, which the closed captions render as "laff".
- Fake Shemp: In "Goatbuttsrz", Vinny's sole line ("CAPUSSI!") was recycled from an art segment.
- Lying Creator: The 2018 livestream release of the original album ends with Joel saying "Now let's never speak about this thing again." Not only would Joel continue to talk about the album while showcasing fan animations of the tracks, he would eventually release a sequel to the album in 2023.
