• Divorced Installment: While the NES version stars Ken as a cyborg 25 years after the events of the 1987 arcade game, the Famicom version makes no attempt to tie its story with the rest of the Street Fighter saga, and simply claims that the protagonist is a policeman named Kevin. It is unknown which of these two versions are closer to the developers' original intention, as the Japanese manual has a screenshot of the Vs. screen with the name "Ken" (rather than Kevin) on it.
• Market-Based Title: The Famicom version is titled 2010 Street Fighter (the date goes first). The English title evokes brand name recognition from both, Street Fighter and Final Fight.
