- Before then, the first three films were distributed by Touchstone Pictures since at the time, Summit Entertainment was a smaller company. - Dawson Casting: Most of the characters are younger than the actors portraying them. Exceptions go to Adam Sevani in The Streets and he was actually a year younger than in 3D and Alyson Stoner in 3D where she was two years younger.
- Irony as She Is Cast: Played with. Alyson Stoner is notoriously a prodigious hip-hop dancer, having been featured in Missy Elliott music videos in the past. However, due to Camille's smaller role, her dance skills are criminally underused throughout the franchise.
- Romance on the Set:
- Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan starred in the first movie together and were married with a daughter until their separation in 2018.
- Jade Chynoweth and Carlito Olivero, who play Odalie and Davis in High Water, are dating in Real Life.
- Star-Making Role: For Channing Tatum, as he got cast in bigger and bigger films afterwards.
