Trivia / Starhawk

  • Pre-Order Bonus: Those who pre-ordered the game at GameStop in North America got a new co-op map, some multiplayer skins, a new Multiplayer Homeworld Lobby, as well as the soundtrack and the original Warhawk for PS1.
  • Screwed by the Network: Sony didn't care much for the game due to releasing in a very packed year, and with other more anticipated PlayStation exclusives in the horizon, Starhawk got the short end of the stick in terms of marketing, only releasing a few behind the scenes videos to promote it. Apparently this was because Sony didn't have any trust in yet another multiplayer shooter in a genre dominated by Call of Duty and Battlefield (also because Sony's other attempts at entering the multiplayer shooter market in force such as MAG and SOCOM: Confrontation failed) and because the contract with the developer LightBox Interactive was ending in a few months following the release of the game and Sony wanted to cut its loses and move on.
