• Creator Backlash: Nalini Krishan, who played Barriss in Attack of the Clones expressed disapproval of her character's turn to the Dark Side and betraying Ahsoka, feeling it was out-of-character during a 2018 interview.
• Enforced Method Acting: During recording of this episode, all cast members barring Matt Lanter and Ashley Eckstein were asked to leave before they recorded the ending so the two could accurately portray their characters alone together.
• The Other Darrin: Tim Curry officially takes over as Palpatine starting with this episode, though he had already provided a handful of other lines in previously released episodes wherein Ian Abercrombie had evidently passed away before he could do so himself.
• What Could Have Been: Barriss was originally supposed to commit suicide using a bomb she'd hidden after giving her Motive Rant speech. Filoni decided against that, feeling there was more story to tell with her, which eventually happened in Star Wars: Tales of the Empire.
• Word of God: According to Dave Filoni, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Plo broke with the rest of the Jedi Council and voted against expelling Ahsoka. Supporting this, Plo is the only Council member to actually apologize to Ahsoka, versus Mace Windu invoking "the will of the Force" to explain their action.
• Word of St. Paul: Pablo Hidalgo has stated that Barriss was likely killed by Vader shortly after the rise of the Empire as revenge for what she did to Ahsoka, but this has yet to be confirmed in-canon, especially given that Dave Filoni has gone on record stating that he "has plans" for Barriss.
